Brynmawr’s Has A Very Good Cricket Team And In 2004 The 1st Eleven Won The League For The First Time In Over A Decade With An Excellent Blend Of Youth And Experience. Brynmawr Play Their Entire Home Games In The Recreational Ground In Brynmawr, The Ground Is Also Used For Rugby Matches And Football Matches.
Brynmawr Also Has A Very Good Bowls Team ( Pictured Below) Which Play Their Matches In The Welfare Park In Brynmawr. One Famous Player To Come Out Of Brynmawr Bowls Team Was A Man Called Robert Price Who Went On To Play Professional Bowls For Wales.

Other Sports That Are Played Within Brynmawr Are Snooker, The Snooker Team Play Their Home Games At Brynmawr Institute (Pictured Below) Which Is Located In Market Square Road, The Institute Has 2 Snooker And Pool Tables Upstairs And 3 Snooker Tabled Downstairs, The Snooker Team Have A Mixed Team Of Younger Players And More Elderly Players. One Of The Most Famous Snooker Players To Grace Brynmawr Institute Was A Man Called Paul Apgood Who Won The Welsh Amuteur Championship And Later Go On To Play For Wales.
Rugby Within Brynmawr Is Very Popular, With The Club Currently Playing In Swalec League Two East Table. At Present They Are Doing Well, Lying Excellently At Fourth Place, With Two Games In Hand. Brynmawr Rugby Team Is Also Affiliated With The Newport Dragons.
Golf In Brynmawr Is Highly Popular Within Brynmawr. One Reason Why Many People Attend This Is Due To The Golf Club, Named West Mon, Being The Highest Course In Great Britain,.There Have Been Many Sucessful Golfers To Come Out Of West Mon, Most Recent Was Craig Evans Who Went On To Play On The Pro Tour. West Mon Is Also Known For Having A Monsterous Par 5 Called Tidy Pull, Which Is 519 Yards Long And Due To It Being Up Hill, Makes It Harder To Get A Good Score. Only A Selected Few Have Managed To Hit The Ball Up The Hill And Over The Small Rise, Most Recently, Dean Gwillym. West Mon Has A Proud History Which Has Spanned Over 100 Years, This Entitles Them To Be Entered Into The Lister Cup, Which Is A Tournement For Golf Clubs.
